Not sure if it's been suggested before, or what the technical implications would be, but what about a section specifically for singles in ED?

I was thinking of categories such as 'companions wanted' where you could put an ad out for people to come along to events e.g - 'Anybody interested in going to the fillinblank concert/event?'

As well as a friendship/dating type category. You could even expand it to advertising EDF singles night at a local haunt.

At a stretch, you could even have a 'New to ED section' where newbies could arrange to meet up.

I've lived in ED for many years, I'm not a BillyNoMates - I have brilliant close friendships, but due to work, geography, family commitments etc there are times when I have thought 'wouldn't it be great to just log in and see whos around for a quick drink/cinema/coffee in the park.'

So admin, what do you think?

I suspect it would just get people taking the piss.

Which is a shame.

It is a great idea to have a section for singles in ED. I am sure that many people want that too.

Is it up to admin to put this section for it?

Who is deciding what to put and not in this forum?

Should we start a petition for it and see how it goes?

I know it is easy to do that.

Anyone can claim to be a nutricionist or chiropracter etc
    • It didn't occur to me to ask. No idea if dieticians are employed within the NHS. It is just one line of enquiry among others. The GP mentioned it, not me.
