If we're talking nice bodies, then Mark Foster (British swimmer) is gorgeous, and even though he was a dreadful dancer on Strictly Come Dancing, he did come across as being super nice - found the fact he was a bit shy and not a show off somewhat endearing.

Can't say I usually go for the guys with the super hot bodies though... suspect they would want someone a little fitter than I, and I am far more interested in finding someone really easy to chat to than good to look at (though nice eyes and a warm smile wouldn't go amiss ;-))

I have both of these attributes IP, the trouble is that when I use the warm smile, the nice eyes disappear.

And if I just keep using the nice eyes without smiling, I tend to look like Jeffrey Dahmer.

It's what we doctors call 'Lloyd Cole Syndrome'.

It can only be cured by complete abstinence from alcohol and fattening foods.

It is incurable.

Oi, Kel, are you suggesting that I am anything other than a perfectly chiselled Adonis? As far as I'm aware you have never seen me in the buff: don't be fooled by the scrawny cast-off clothing, the emaciated gait and sallow skintone. That's just my forum frontage.

BOBFOC? Is that an acronym, or just a specialist forum swear word?

It's all about previewing, what? Hot Rock? Is Elizabeth Taylor's old wedding ring being exhibited?

You see if those fools from Dolland & Aitchison had been bothered to put a proper advert up, with glasses and all, I might have gone for an eye test, and had a pair of specs within the hour and I could read *Bob*'s post properly.

I don't know, I really don't.

Although ladies, some of those men were so full on in the cock shopping department, I would faint if one came near me exposed!!! I did have a good look and I even said to Mr MW74 I'd have the one standing up...because...well....

anyway those men my God are dangerous.

Please forgive my youthful, innocent naievety but I'm not exactly au fait with,em,"cock shopping"....what exactly is it and where do "interested parties" go to purchase said item(s)(?)

Disclaimer:Naturally I'm enquiring on behalf of a friend.....

A Girlie who is not good at directions?..I won't have that!:))

TRUE Story...I promise you though it sounds soooo stereotypical I know...

Around 3 years ago,a Ladyfriend "J" who I still see regularly(i.e.when she can be arsed)....was "directing" me to a forgotten street near the Pond at Thornton Hearh. We appearred to be getting progressively further away from our intended destination when I realised the problem after 6/7 mins of nonsense. I pointed out the "problem" and she honestly said

"Well the directions WOULD have been accurate if the A-Z Book was turned up the other way round!"

Yes,she had it upside down and so we went EXACTLY in the right order but the wrong way if youmermget my meaning....she couldn't understand the bleedin' fuss:-$

    • I sometimes don't feel as comfortable as I did but it's not because I'm older, it's because I'm sober. Staggering home when I was younger I always felt I like a had a cloak of invisibility around me. And a magic compass - not even sure how I found my way home some nights.
    • I'm London born and bred and have always considered myself streetwise having grown up in Notting hill (pre getrification) and I lived on the border of Harlesden (kensal green) in the 90's  when it was pretty sketchy round there .and I spent much of the 80's and early 90's in downtown New York.. I would walk everywhere at all hours of the day and night and never felt particularly uneasy largely because I was always mindful of my surroundings and walked with 'purpose'. I don't know wether its because I'm now so much older but I don't feel as comfortable as I used to walking round London. Today I was in the West end and I made sure to carry my bag on the opposite arm to that facing the kerb and felt uneasy when I saw people wizzing around on limebikes or scooters close to the kerb..I never got my phone out at all...I never used to feel like this but just recently I've had friends witness phone and bag snatching in central london in broad daylight..apparently it happened so fast in both instances there was nothing anyone could do to help..One phone snatching was during the tube strike 7.30am two guys on bikes grabbed a mans phone..My friend took the victim to a nearby hotel to sit down and recover the hotel said due to the tube strike they had witnessed many duo's of youth out very early on bikes aware that there were more pedestrians around at that time with their phones out trying for Ubers or looking at directions. I would'nt say I feel 'unsafe' I just feel more aware of being a possible target for crime than formerly. I don't know if this is due to being older or due to reading the press.
    • The fact everyone has had a CCTV camera in their pockets for the last 15+ years has done a huge amount to prevent and mitigate random drunken violence.  Thugs can't get away with what they used to anymore.
