My name is Ali and a local mum wanting to provide a craft service in the area!

I would like to run a mum event that encourages mums (and dads!) and their babies in those first few months to get out of the house and enjoy a project for a few hours. Nothing too complicated, more for the social and brain-space aspect than anything else. You will be able to feed/settle your baby- advice and sympathy will be there as well as tea and cake.

Workshops will include simple baby clothes / paper crafts for nurseries / bib making / baby blankets / handmade mobiles and more!

I am also offering my services for bespoke Hen do's and Baby showers, PM me for

More info.

Just wanted to get feedback and thoughts from the community and also get an idea of the interest we might get.

Location still to be confirmed.

Thanks, Ali

Thank you MariaMadeIt, I think it's definately something I needed in those early days to break it all up! Tried doing my own stuff at home but think that the social part is the most important bit!

Looking at some coffee shops to host in-so perants can also satisfy their need for caffeine/cake and then go from there.

Just looked at your things online, what beautiful pieces!

    • Hi all,   I'm Natalie, piano teacher in Nunhead.    I teach all ages, children, teens, adults, all styles.   Lessons are fun, and tailored for what the student needs/wants.    I've opened up loads of new slots every day of the week, daytimes, and after school and evenings.    I've been teaching for 15 years, am a performer, singer, guitarist and keyboard player in a few local bands, and I do stage management for UK's largest open mic, as well as run my own events, for my students, and Singer Songwriter showcases.      Call or text me on 07730 402336. Natalie.
    • Another stinker, thank goodness for the international break. Week 3 points...   Week 3 table...
    • Hospices are coming under increasing pressure at the moment. Not only have their costs been forced up by the increase in employers NI and possibly the minimum wage for some workers, but the recent assisted dying legislation, which forces doctors faced with patients likely to die to offer suicide as a way out means that numbers of hospice doctors will withdraw as they don't ethically hold with the legislation. Additionally we might anticipate a reduction in research on end-of-life care and pain alleviation where the government is supporting an alternative (and one far cheaper than proper end-of-life care). This all brings pressure on the hospice movement as the assisted dying philosophy runs counter to it. It is hardly surprising then that they are looking to gain as much benefit as they can from higher prices.
