Travelling alone at 10-years-old
Mariamadeit replied to Bellenden Belle's topic in The Family Room Discussion
It really depends on the child and how wrong it could go? Is there anyone else doing a similar journey that could help? -

I also much prefer the econsult system, when I have needed, things have happened quickly. -
I went to the Dulwich women?s health centre https://www.womenshealthdulwich.com/ and was seen quickly and was treated kindly. I then took the findings back to my nhs gp who acted quickly.

I?d love to help with this, but would prefer to sew fabric rather than knit/crochet- would that be ok? -
We can recommend the wingless bird, she has taken excellent care of our cat on many occasions now.

Thames Water - Forest Hill Road (Update)
Mariamadeit replied to jazzer's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
Thanks, we are on FHR and this is the first we know of it. -
We have asked Andy to help on several occasions now and been very pleased with his service, particularly when the boiler broke! His number is 07983 688451 if you are need of a plumber, call Andy.

Yes all open again now, that small pothole got pretty big by the way and some kind of water leak, it definitely required fixing.
-
Yes tonight was particularly bad for the green bottles- they seem partial to Parmesan! Several wasps also. Interested to hear deterrent ideas.

Not a can no, just a little ?beehive with books in it? glad to see people are already using it and swapping books!
-
Beehive Books (because it looks like a blue beehive) is on our steps on Forest Hill Road, at the end of Ryedale. Come along and help yourself to a book, swap one or drop one.

I can recommend the Lidl overlocker if you can get one, a fraction of the price of other machines on the market and for home sewing it does what I want it to do.

Rainbow pictures of hope in windows
Mariamadeit replied to MrsR's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
Aw thanks- we?re on FHR and my children get a real buzz from people stopping to look at their rainbow, we have a hopscotch on the pavement too, please join in and give them a wave! -
Just wanted to recommend our Gardener Nigel (Gardenman on here). He has transformed our garden from a rather lifeless and boring outdoor space to a garden that we can enjoy. He took our ideas and gave advice on what would work and added seating, a cooking area, planting, grass etc. He took us to the plant supplier to choose plants together and has been great with my children too- getting them involved in planting. Highly recommended!

Another recommenedation for Steve. I have used him for a number of jobs over the past few years, I know he will do the job very well at a reasonable price and I can trust him with keys. Steve cleared our new garden which was quite a task and suggested options for dealing with unwanted trees. I am really pleased wih the work done and how tidy everything was left at the end. I will certainly be giving Steve more work in future.

Family friendly restaurants in the area
Mariamadeit replied to Mike&Sarah's topic in The Family Room Discussion
we love si mangia on forest hill road, Italian, they are great with my 3 aged 6,4 and 11 months, great food not usually busy if you eat early but good idea to book. They don't have a children's menu but are happy to do starter size portions or split a main meal over two plates which I think is how it should be. -
