Is Sydenham Hill still shut?

Boring question, but... is it open again yet? Traffic chaos (even more than usual) this morning due to what looked like a burst water pipe. BBC is still saying closed, but wondered if anyone had noticed.

Think it is still closed. There's a temporary sign on the way up the hill that has a T (dead end) in the lane that usually turns right up it.

That is so daft honestly. Ever seen a leak at Dog Kennel Hill? If hills were extra prone to leaks we'd never have any water in East Dulwich.

Ever since they built all those flats on the TA barracks there has been problems off and on. The water has to be pumped at a higher pressure up the hills to supply each flat with a mains supply and the pipes can't cope.

Nope dont fink thats the answer. There has always been problems there even before housing was added at the barracks.

Its always been a case of when one goes another big one near by follows suit. Besides there have been several spots up that way that have had trickles trickling for weeks...
