Obviously won't be the best cello, but will be good enough for starters (depending on your daughter's age, I'm guessing she's primary age?).

I just think people can end up spending a fortune renting instruments.

I'd buy something cheap and cheerful, and as and when I was satisfied she was going to stick with it I'd upgrade.

Sorry, I know that's not answered your actual question.

I think South London Music on Grove Vale have a rental scheme. Normally not keen on rental but having seen how my daughters have gone through different sizes on the violin, I'm glad we've got school instruments now. Not sure if they change as often on the cello.

Hello

I noticed your Post re. Cello hire and I wondered if you still have

a full size cello for hire ?

I am about to embark in a beginners cello course and would like to hire for this purpose.

If you do have a cello avaliable how much do you charge for hire etc...

Many thanks

Billie

    • Hi everyone! My partner and I are getting married in France the last week of August, and we’re hoping to drive a van over for the trip. Unfortunately, the big rental companies are proving tricky when it comes to taking vehicles out of the country. We were wondering if anyone here , or someone you know , rents out a van (or knows of any local companies) that would allow travel to France. We’d really appreciate any leads or recommendations. Thank you so much in advance!

    • Hi Andrea, thank you SO much for your review and recommendation. It was, indeed, a bit of a nightmare of a transaction but I am delighted we got there in the end before the various mortgage offers ran out. I hope you are enjoying your new home. Also, thank you Sue for the clarification!
