anjalenka
Hi there, its our anniversary and I'm looking for a lovely, good, pretty restaurant locally.... I used to love to Metro in Clapham, or with its pretty little garden out the back, or Andrew Edmunds. Do we have anything like that here? We've only ever been to Franklins and for the money paid I think it can be a bit hit and miss. With 2 kids and one on the way this will be our once a year extravaganza!!!!Thanks in advance, Anja Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/46013-pretty-restaurant-for-anniversary-dinner/ Share on other sites
Jeremy
Crooked Well or Angels & Gypsies (both in Camberwell) are good. No67 in Peckham is supposed to be nice too. There are loads of places which do nice food (ToastED, Begging Bowl, Camberwell Arms, etc) but maybe a bit noisy/informal for an anniversary. MissDumpling
There isn't really anywhere pretty or romantic round these parts. Number 67 is really tasty, fairly inexpensive and quite intimate. But in your shoes, I'd hop on a 185 to Victoria and go to Poule au Pot in Pimlico for scrumptious French food in a very romantic setting. haruki
You can't beat Clos Maggiore's conservatory for romance/prettiness. Nothing round here like it. It is Covent garden though, so not exactly walking distance.
