rachel4
HiI have an ergo that I used from 6 months with my second child, I used a moby wrap until then. I now have a 10 week old who hates the moby and is too long for the ergo newborn insert. The ergo says it shouldn't be used without the insert till 6 months ... has anyone used it without the insert sooner? Norfolkvillas
Yes. I think from about 16 weeks if I remember correctly.... Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/46105-ergo-question/#findComment-759486 Share on other sites
ladyruskin
I used it from about 7-8 weeks without one! My son was too long to fit safely in the ergo with the insert. Convex
you can use a blanket to pad it out if you need to. if he still needs the head support a rolled up muslin inside the blanket will work. a bit of a faf and you need to keep checking it fir movement though.when our son outgrew the insert he was still too short, so we used the cushion on its own. he needed it until about 9 months! Strawbs
Yes from about 10 weeks as my son couldn't fit in the insert any more and he is fine. X Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/46105-ergo-question/#findComment-759596 Share on other sites
EmilyPie
If you're concerned you could always pop along to the south London sling library and get them to have a look and maybe borrow something until he's ready for the ergo. They're in beckenham. Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/46105-ergo-question/#findComment-759685 Share on other sites
stacker285
I could never work out how to use the insert properly anyway... We just ended up wrapping our boy in it. Kept him nice and warm over the winter. Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/46105-ergo-question/#findComment-759699 Share on other sites
