Could anyone recomend a local firm to remove a sheet of probably asbeStos cement thank you

Have a look at your local authority website as most LA's have an arrangement with the City of London corporation for the removal of asbestos. You would just need to submit an online form, wrap it in polythene sheeting and a licensed contractor then takes it away for nothing.
