  1. Found yesterday microscooter outside Fosters chemist on Forest Hill road. Opposite entrance to peckham rye park junct colyton Rd and Forest Hill Rd. The scooter has been brought into fosters chemist to keep it safe.
  2. I heartily recommend Dave too. I rang him this morning after our kitchen sink became blocked. He arrived within hours and half sorted it out quickly and with v reasonable charge.I intend to ask him to do other stuff soon
  3. I could find no record of this incident having been reported on elsewhere which given the seriousness of it was surprising. It was not on the met police website under Southwark or South London. I rang the Met Police non emergency help line this morning and they confirmed they have no record of this event in Peckham Rye Park or Peckham Rye common.
  4. What we do know is the OP had only joined the forum less than two days earlier and posted six innocuous messages on different threads between 6.00 and 10.30 that evening. At two in the morning they posted this distressing message as if it had just happened. Whilst it might be technically possible for their mother to have been attacked, suffered a stroke and become a changed person in three and a half hours it surely raises a question as to whether this did actually happen or not. Either way they did not post further information on the thread which might at least have indicated when and where it happened - something had they wished to be helpful to local people would have been useful. Instead they have continued to post on other threads with no indication of any family crisis going on. I am genuinely sorry if this incident did happen but the background has left me with a question about it.
  5. I understand that Terry finally took redundancy at the half term or Easter break. That there are now agency workers who are funded until July but have no knowledge of anything being offered beyond then.
  6. Really sorry if u are feeling so bad do ring the Samaritan's free 24 hours a day i think their no is 116 123 if not they have a website with more info good luck
  7. I found a mobile phone - Samsung - in the childrens play ground, Dulwich Park - Ive handed it into the park rangers based in the Francis Peek centre dulwich park
  8. sorry to take so long to get back-I understand now that the staff at the playground did opt to take voluntary redundancy, if they had not done they would have had to accept that their hours would be halved - an enhanced payment if they went now but not if they were made redundant in the usual manner. As a regular user I would be interested to know how it will be able to continue to offer similar hours, will the workers brought in to replace those who have been there for a long time be trained or not.
  9. its usually open in school holidays from Tuesday to Saturday from 11.00 until 5.00. During term time after school until 6.30 I think. But as I said in the post before make the most of it because my understading is that all the staff will be laid off in September.
  10. Could you explain how this is going to happen as I understand that all the staff working there are being made redundant in September?
  11. in yell they list a JB trading based at oaktree farm, Halstead - its some kind of recyling place - their phone no is there it might be worth giving them a ring.
  12. Re the adventure playgrounds in particular - I understand that it looks likely that Southwark are planning to close all of the adventure playgrounds in the Borough - I do hope that this is not the case but if it is true Im horrified. For kids of 6 yrs plus these places are a godsend.
  13. it might be a good idea to also post on the lost and found section - hope it shows up
  14. They were filming in Franklins restaurant about five o clock today - several large equipment lorries, and lots of folk around.
  15. I think we are referring to two different posts John, there was a second incident on the same thread written by Boxer which is the one I was referring to.
  16. I think the description by Boxer is a man behaving in a very concerning way - he groped her, followed her and exposed himself. I don't know what constitutes a real danger in your book but I would have been terrified. Again Boxer, I do hope that you have reported this to the police.
  17. That sounds really frightening - I hope that you are alright - have reported it to the police? they may have some idea who it might be.
  18. Abandoned near side gate to hornimans pm me if it might be yours
  19. glad to hear that the boys are fine - we get over to the play ground occasionally as we don't live locally but when we have visited our kids are always made welcome and enjoy themselves thoroughly. Looking forward to all your new plans taking shape kind regards
