Where is the local dump?

Hello all

I've got a load of all wood and a double bed and mattress I need to dispose of.

I have a van but wondering if there is a local council dump type place I can take it to?

There is one just off the old kent road about 10m from ED by car - google southwark refuse collection and you should be able to find it.

The Reuse and Recycling Centre is located at: 43 Devon Street, off Old Kent Road.

1 April to 30 September, 8am to 8pm

1 October to 31 March, 8am to 6pm

The centre only closes on Christmas Day, 25 December; Boxing Day, 26 December and New Year's Day, 1 January.

You have to live in Lambeth to use the Lambeth Centre

But A load of wood and a bed . Ring Southwark Council who have a brilliant service they take up to 15 Items a month for free.

I use the Lambeth centre regularly and have never been asked where I live.

I'm sure I heard that southwark and Lambeth have an agreement that residents of either borough can use both tips. Very neighbourly.

The Old Kent Road one is much better... you drive up a big ramp and chuck your stuff down into pits, rather than having to climb the steps at the side of the containers. Never had to queue there either. Worth a few extra minutes in the car. (and it sort of reminds me of a karting track for some reason)

There are three main reuse and recycling centres (also known as "tips"), located in Lambeth, Wandsworth and Southwark. Lambeth residents can use any of these to recycle or dispose of household waste:
