Plasterer & views on using lime plaster, solid wall insulation

Just getting round to getting the living room wall replastered after all the rain at xmas.

1. Has anyone used lime plaster (and/or claypaint) and would they recommend it? It seems from what I've read that this could be a good, breathable option.

2. Do I need to get a specialist plasterer to do this?

Last, I had been looking into solid wall insulation if I've got to go through the whole hassle of replastering. Has anyone done this, any views? I may not be able to go ahead with this as, unfortunately, the Home Energy Improvement Fund (which would have paid up to 75% of the costs) has just closed, but I'd still be interested in others' experience and an idea of cost for one wall (19 ft) in a one-bed flat.

left to the serface of srushur of the buliding maybe it need srach coat rendering before you skim
