You're aware that "north" is arbitrary?

To anyone approaching from space there is no up or down, north or south. So we are all northerners and southerners equally.

And then the poles are due magnetic reversal any day now too.

Northerners are lovely, some of my best friends etc...though I will admit as a child I'd switch off 'why don't you' if it was from anywhere with a dodgy accent ;)

I attended teaching union conferences several times and the main difference between 'us' and 'them' was that the northerners used to ask for receipts for their booze (even though it was social time) whereas the southerners paid for their own.
