Rye Court - Alarm / annoying noise

I live in Rye Court flats and was woken many times last night by some sort of alarm. It didn't sound like a car alarm as it was more of a slow series of beeps, but it was loud and annoying. Anyone know what this was?

OK. I'm going to assume it was aliens.

I was kept awake by it too from about 4am, and it was still going off when I went to my car, very tired for work at 7:30. I was parked opposite the bus stop by Rye Court.

I assumed it was coming from Turners MOT centre as my garden backs on to it, or from the church hall. However, it seems to have stopped now.

It was more annoying than a constant alarm as you think it's finished then it starts again after a few minutes.
