Waverley Arms - new pub in Nunhead

Went again last night, the refurb has made a massive difference. Great to have such a good addition to the local area. As someone else posted in the lounge thread, also very refreshing for it not to be just another one of the intentikit corporate refurbs which you see in most other local pubs. They seem like nice people, so good luck to them.

Oh, looks like this thread has been moved to lounge as well now.

From reading the landlords initial post on the other thread it sounds like its tied to Punch but that they've managed to retain a fair amount of freedom with regards to what they serve.

Who would have paid for the big refurb? Would Punch Taverns do that?

I'm no expert but i doubt it, think that's normally up to the landlord.
