Hi,

I like tots bots.

I'd recommend you do the questionnaire at the nappy lady who will recommend brands to try. Definitely try a few and find what suits you.

I personally think 2 part systems are more reliable but all in ones are easier to use, so I have both!

I would have a look at a supplier like Fill your Pants to see what is available - so much depends on the shape and size of your baby, how often you intend to wash, whether you can dry outside etc. My favourites were tots bots easyfit when baby was smaller (but he soon got too big for them) and bumgenius flip (not sure if these are still made now) for all round ease of use and fit from small to big. I also liked the Bambino mio solo (all in one nappy) for ease of use and quick drying. I found the older style two part nappies too bulky and faffy to use.

Fill your pants do a good scheme where you can try a selection of nappies for ?10 (plus ?100 deposit) http://www.fill-your-pants.com/cloth-nappy-trial/nappy-trial.html

I've just finished using reusables, having potty trained my 3rd (and final!) child. I've used a mix of Itti Bitti and Blueberries on her from 6 months to now (2.5, so the same nappies lasted 2 years).

I've used a mixture of nappies over the 7.5 years since my first child was born, but found nappies that don't need a separate cover the easiest by far.

I'm going to be selling my nappies as a job lot, but could sell a couple individually if you'd like some to try?

If you have a link could you post it? I got a voucher for my first but thought it had been stopped by the time I had my second.

We use a mix of pocket and 2 part nappies - fuzzibuns favourite for pockets and tots bots ( though these are veery slow to dry) and bumbles for 2 psrters. Mother ease rikki wraps best outers for us.

Good luck with it - some of the nappies we're using are about to be used on the 4th child (gone through siblings and cousins) so they are certainly reliable and long lasting!

And good wet bags will make all the difference for being out and about - without any smell or mess!

Have just come back from hols to all this wonderful advice - thank you all so much!! I've just applied for the free nappy trial on the council website and will have a look at fill our pants. Sounds like the all-in-ones might be the way to go... Convex, I tried gnappies (a friend gave me a batch, the only ones I've tried so far) but I found leakage to be a real issue with them..

Thanks for all of you who offered your nappies to try. I'll see what fill your pants and the council site come back with and let you know!

Thanks again!

    • I'm utterly baffled as to why anybody thinks this is newsworthy, let alone worth a front page. The economy has barely grown for 20 years and the housing crisis has been worsening for a similar time period. Note to any journalists on the forum: maybe focus your headlines on important issues.

    • Harvey and Wheeler in Dulwich Village? Only one I know… How can they offer to apply and never did? Surely; whether they are managing the property or not and with tech been so advanced I would have thought they would have been a couple of e mails sent as a reminder or, is it the Landlord’s responsibility to apply… Rental Law/ Bill has just come  into force  - can’t remember if it was this week or last and have been to busy to read.. However, will as assume it is not individual councils but all councils. Came up on Which on line.. Good point Jen Jen Jen - sure some knowledgable person on here can throw more light than I.
