Curtains/ blinds/ kids rooms

Hello!

So where is everyone buying their curtains/ blinds / children's rooms window attire from?

I have Unusally large windows but not a huge budget post re doing our new house up ... I wanted the shutters but I don't have thousands to spend!

We have basic Ikea black out blinds inside the window frame, and then Roman blinds that cover the whole window, made by Kim Haddon at Village Blinds.

Pickle you genius ! I didn't think of this. Are the blackout blinds the ones you can cut to size ?

can I ask how much the total cost you to do?

Yes, the blinds come in a variety of widths and you just cut them down to size. If you sit them inside the window frame they're pretty good for the price.

We had the roman blinds made as part of refurbishing our whole house, so also had them made for the living room and master bedroom. I'm not sure how much they were individually, but am pretty sure Kim would do free quotations. They are an easy solution, and mean the bedrooms are really nice and dark.

We also got the blinds from Ikea, they are brilliant. Bought blackout curtains and curtains and poles at John Lewis's. We went for the off-the-shelf stuff as custom made was very expensive.
