Hello!

In order to keep costs low I was going to tile the Inbetween kitchen work top and upper cabinet.

Now wondering if plastic splash back is a good alternative? What would go behind the cooker ? I have a range cooker.

And does anyone know of a trust worthy

Company that can measure the space for me and fit ?

Also does anyone know somewhere where I can get the tiles cut smaller ? As I was going to use the same pattern as the floor but as they are wall and floor tiles I was just going to use them but they are 60 by 30 in size and standard Inbetween cabinet length is 50cm. So in this scenario I can use a 60 by 60 tile as that's the only other size they do and chop of 10cm?

Which is why I was wondering if someone knew a place I could get tiles cut i would try the metro tile

Type size ? Or just do as I suggested ??

Anybody help???

I'm not sure you could have plastic near the cooker...? We have glass bought from the glass place on the corner in Peckham, way cheaper than actual splash backs and they do choices in colour/colour matching too, they cut to size and then you glue in place easy!

    • Thanks, i don't know those other restaurants but they sound good. There was a very good Malaysian restaurant on Edgware Road but I forget the name (not Melur, further north than that). tbh though I have to choose carefully with Malaysian, I do find some dishes very hot. Don't know en root but if it's plant-based it's right up my street. Thanks.
    • Absolutely, another coalition was nailed on with the bookies, three big factors, Tories playing it very cute with constituents in marginal seats, LDs being punished for tuition fees and not pushing Tories harder, and Milliband's public persona in particular the right wing media.  irrespective of unnecessary austerity the country would have been in a better place if there had been another coalition.
    • I have heard a few times that Cameron thought there was going to be another coalition government and he needed some policies that he could easily throw away in bargaining with the Liberal Democrats. So he proposed the referendum planning to bargain it away after the election. Then he won and was stuck with it. Maybe that was stupid 🙂
