Computer help required: for outlook express to outlook 2013 mail transfer

Hi - have had some work done on this but still have a problem. What I need is a computer expert in outlook to help me transfer the messages in my email account. Any takers? It's not that straightforward...

You are looking for the files with the extension .pst

Open outlook click on file, choose open and export, click on export a file, click on the data .pst file, select the account (1 at a time) tick the subfolder box if you have extra data saved.

Click next and select the destination. (usb drive) to transfer to new pc

What problems are you having? Did you follow a process something like this http://support.microsoft.com/kb/196347?

Also which service do you use to receive email (outlook.com, gmail etc.)? If your mail is still stored on the server you may not need to export your old mail from OE.

When you say it's not working, what are you expecting to see (in Outlook 2013) and ho does that differ to what actually happens?
