We've tried every 6 months with my now 3.5 year old with small amounts of baked in dairy (following milk ladder introduction thing dietician gave us) and i'd say since 3 she's been able to tolerate it but not in huge amounts e.g. she can share the odd croissant with me or have a little piece of birthday cake or mash made with milk but not every day. We still tend to 'fail' the challenge at more than 1 teaspoon of yoghurt but are happy that we've reached a point where most accidental slip-ups with biscuits or cake when we're at a party or something don't make her too bad anymore. About to start it with my youngest when he turns 1 next month so fingers crossed he'll grow out of it a bit younger.

Hello, we are getting there with my son who is 2 1/2. Up until v recently he reacted badly almost every time we tested but we seem to have turned a corner. He has normal toast a couple of times a week and today he has had some crumpet at nursery.

I have got carried away a few times to my poor son's detriment though. Once he tried his grandads ice cream and upon seeing his happy face I bought him his own. Bad move, an other time I gave in to his begging to try yoghurt and that didnt work.

Good luck with it, take it nice and slow. As the poster said above it is lovely to get to a point where an occasional slip up doesnt have to end in disaster.

    • I would add that the significantly increased event structure of last year, with trackway everywhere as well as the huge metal barriers, completely changes the feel of the park. I agree with Fishboy that there is a convenient blending of park with the Common, to give the impression that only a small section is used.    I still do not understand why this event cannot be moved wholesale to the Common. It would be closer to transport hubs and all other events seem to take place on the Common.
    • So - after spending weeks lying about everyone else, not to mention yesterday’s disgusting comments about Rob Reiner, Trump is officially suing BBC for 10 billion  the gall of that creature.  And anyone who defends him.  He cares nothing about “truth” Telegraph/guardian/times all reporting 10 billion.   However in bbc  news they are saying 5.  Hmmmmm
    • Piotr and his team just completed our ensuite and we couldn’t be happier. They were a lovely team to have around and took great care with protection and clean-up every day. Communication was great and there were no nasty surprises with the final invoice despite a few challenges with the room along the way. The standard of work is incredible. We still can’t believe this room is in our house!
