Hi all! I'm an ED local and one quarter of Copy That, a group of experienced freelancers specialising in copywriting, social media planning, implementation and training, branding without horrific branding-speak, copy-editing, proofreading and design. We love working with small businesses and being local, we're happy to discuss ideas in person or via email/Skype. East Dulwich is full of such beautiful artisan shops and services that we'd love to work with you on some truly custom copy.

Our clients include Jellycat, Faber & Faber, UsVsTh3m, Taylor & Francis, Literature Beyond Frontiers and the Southbank Centre. We've worked with agencies for major clients such as adidas and McDonald's, though our collective heart lies with SMEs. We've designed creative marketing materials, such as mailshots, product descriptions and SEO web copy, for a number of startups.

We're based in Silvester Road, East Dulwich, and among us we number two award-winning poets who run a small press, an Arts Council-funded performance artist and games designer, and a Bloomsbury-published film scholar. Our professional backgrounds lie in court editing, content editing, commissioning, publishing and creative writing.

If you're curious about dipping a toe into marketing with friendly, knowledgeable locals, contact us at [email protected], or visit www.copythatcopy.com. We're happy to pop down for a chat.

Thanks for reading and look forward to hearing from you!

    • Thanks penguin  always wondered about that place and that’s way more info than I ever thought I would get  (used to live above a gun nut on friern road - he would tell me nothing)
    • There was a Saturday afternoon crowd of enthusiasts, and at other times the owner might have been off acquiring stock. He also repaired air guns, which he also sold. He stocked edged weapons, uniforms, including antique uniforms, air guns and ammo and starting pistols and shot. Some medals and other militaria. Quite a lot of ex service chit chat on a Saturday. I had an amateur interest, didn't deal a lot, in English pattern swords and other mainly 19th century militaria. And made some good purchases there. I'm afraid WWII and later events was the major focus of most of the regulars.
    • Did anyone actually venture in to that place? I recall it always being closed/very uninviting!
    • Perry Bamonte from The Cure.. Just 65 years old.
