Do you know how much we paid for 2 of us last night for a 3 courses each with a bottle of wine and service??? Not even ?70.00 and the portion were normal!!! My hubby had Tuna Roll to start and I had the squid and then he had Fillet of beef when I had the cod with each a side order... The desserts were Yummy too a nice chocolate dessert and a gorgeous Almond pud!!! Honestly I called my Friends today and we booked a table for next week for a catch up... And now I feel like you all need to know. apparently they are running the offer until end of FEB...

    • As the days shorten having evening fireworks for e.g. birthday parties becomes more realistic, the idea that fireworks is only about Guy Fawkes day or New Year's Eve is not a rule. I personally do not like fireworks, but other do, and I would see no reason to stop other's pleasure. I am sure the local Puritans will object, and there are issues about disturbing wild life with unexpected noise. But I'm in favour of simple pleasures. And many do like fireworks.

    • Most churches rent out halls for children's' parties but rarely adult parties, Christ Church only does afternoon parties,   The East Dulwich Community centre hires out halls to 9 pm only and all music needs to be on a sound restrictor as is in a residential area. St Johns with St Clements have a small hall but not sure if they allow adult parties. Nunhead Green has a newish community centre with a couple of different size halls. Most places seem to charge around £40 ph  with a deposit of £100/200 (returned if no damage or excess cleaning needed.
