  4. withj margins being so rubbish on beer, soft drinks are the only profitable item for many I think
  5. PS how long til the SLP takes this tale onboard and conducts a vox pop on charidee shop theivery ,on the mean streets of ED ?
  6. ha Not sure who I want to go for this one ? Not a great manure supporter and Barca do seem to attract the johnny come lately bandwagon jumpers of football ( this season anyway, seeing as Real bottled the title / beckham left/ there is no world cup for these facile fans to hang their out Brazil & Italy flags/ etc ) I just want football to win

Had the same experience and was asked " is it yours ? " I wish I could say I came out with an urbane Wildean response , but just came out with a Haddockian tirade of propa abuse that ensured they scuttled back into their wheels and scarpered. probabaly to come back 5 mins later when I has passed of course.
  8. It was one of thhose instances where about 5 minutes later you realise what you have just seen and think ...wait there!.......the pretty much new family car with kids seats in the back/ the JAGS sticker , all fooled me . I intially though she was was leaving stuff as I approached, then realised the was stripping the piles and loading her wheels up.I have verbally assailed a couple of people in the past I musts admit and used language that if far far too fruity for a family site like like this

  10. I applaud any campaign that may help highlight the importance of exams and use the the brain for once - anything that tries a different tack from the constant media & marketing onslaught of images that seem to tell the inner city poor can only be consideredm a suiccess if they are Sporting success, cant be a bad thing
  11. Snorky went o the College of hard knocks etc
  12. was it paradise on earth before Bugaboos & ? Did you buy any ostentatious Gold jewellery form the shop that is now G&B ? did anyone ever eat in that resturant that was always empty and offered 8 courses for 9.99 in the old G&B block? was Raylon a happy stationary emporium before fear set in & the clapham masses decamped to this solidly proletarian enclave ?Did you experience the joy of an appointment at the DHSS, or did you have a designated stool of your own & free tea all day so called amusements tell Snorky

  14. I would like to say that LL is a car crash, but it would be unoriginal and unbefitting to the proud upstanding retailers that may my every trip out be such a joy of consumer goods accumulation
  15. the vale isnt bad - its an ole skol pub with a bit of jazzing up.Landlord is good and knows his stuff- it will be heaving tomorrow for the manU game
  16. My work on this thread is done I merely docment what I see and pose a question - the responses speak for themselves Next time, snorky will resurrect the age old food & snobbery issue, peppered with references to ED eating establishments and asks the question - If Chick-King ( a royal delight ) was taken over by Heston Blumethal, William Rose and Moxons , would you change your tune and queue round the block for those tasty poultry essentials?

  18. SOMEONE CALL TESSA JOWELL AND GET THESE INTERNET POSTING MESSAGE BOARD SCUM PUNISHED. HANGINGS TOO GODD FOR THEM.
  19. steps to mount an effective PR campaign 1) Register on forum en masse using different IPs 2) contribute and get people on your side on a wide range of dull topics, including School waiting lists and lost cats 3) Nothing controversial, just vanilla chit chat - no calls for bourgeois blood to be running in the gutters of LL etc 4) begin the slow process of raising the profile of the establishment - eg "wheres the best place to watch the Liverpool game ? ( the correct answer id of course anywhere except the open sewer that is merseyside) - nominate your chosen bar, quoting previous examples of a fantastic day out for the whole family 5) get other members of the squad to ageee but put a few red herrings in ( " was a bit busy for the the FA cup last year through...took 5 minutes to get to the bar" etc ) 6) drip feed the PR on a regtular basis using alternate established logons and reboot your router after each posting to muddy the trail Success guaranteed - the snorky method

  22. two problems with the initial posting 1) Its the Vale 2) Its the Vale The correct approach is to bang on about how great XXXXXX or the XXXXXXX is - it is forum convention that everyone will agree with wnhatever you say on these subjects and no one will be suspicious Maybe if the Value served ?4 plates of olives to its patrons & employed a junior member of staff full time to paint elaborate signeage on a daily basis, things might change

I will be honest though - anyone on a low income or with kids or suchlike whop picks through the stuff and uses it, I am not bothered about, whatever the legal side of it.
