Buying stuff on the EDF

Hi,

I'm new too the forum and am buying something a small electrical item from someone.

I asked for there address to go and pick it up, so i could see it working before i took it and paid, but they said they were happy to bring it to my place instead.

Should I be worried about not knowing where the person lives, or am i worrying to much?

I'd say chances are, you're reading too much into it and they are just being cautious in the same way you are...but, if you have a funny gut feeling, and I'd say you have...perhaps you could suggest meeting somewhere neutral - a caf? or pub maybe? Obviously if its an electrical appliance that needs testing, you might struggle with the plug socket thing, in which case, maybe just make sure there is someone with you at your house when they come round.

Hi charltonlad. If you click on the user name of the person you are dealing with-written in blue at the start of any post/message, then you can see their posting history. If it is a regular forum user then you are probably safe!
