DBS (old CRB check) for nanny Ofsted registration

Hi

My nanny is struggling to get her DBS check done as part of her Ofsted registration. Is it doen through the police, if so how?

Can anyone advise the procedure for this please.

If you send an email include the full name, address, telephone number and any DBS reference numbers.

I would contact DBS in the first instance, it may be possible for you to request the check as the employer, however as you would do under 100 checks per year, I think you would need to apply via an Umbrella body (list of bodies - https://dbs-ub-directory.homeoffice.gov.uk/).
