Tips for entertaining extra kids

Hi,

I have a 9 month old crawling baby and this week have volunteered (possibly stupidly) to look after my half brother and sister who are 11 and 6 on Wednesday and Thursday. A bit nervous about how to keep them all entertained over the 48 hours! Any wise words from those with older kids much appreciated? Where would be a good place to head to - we have a car so could drive a bit out of London?

Thanks x

How about some time in the skateboard park & Adventure playground on Peckham Rye. BMX bike riding Brockwell park or Burgess park. Track cycling or mountain biking at the Herne Hill Velodrome. Swimming at Deptford wavelength swimming pool which has a couple of flumes. Visit to the Southbank, always plenty going on.

Your combo of kids are approx same age as my 3 & one London day out that seems to suit all

Of them is 176 bus to Waterloo then a walk along southbank where there is plenty to see for all of them, lunch in a wagamama or similar near Foyles books & a look at what's on in the royal festival

Hall, gallery space etc.

    • Really?  I'm sorry to hear that. What did you order?
    • I'm still waiting for the pin for a card which was delivered some time ago. Luckily I was able to view it on the app, otherwise I still wouldn't be able to use the card.
    • I can’t say we felt the same sadly.. perhaps need to give it another chance
    • Fish curry for me, Cochin prawn curry for Nyge, can't remember if it was plain basmati rice or coconut rice - we shared one portion- and a paratha, also shared. We also got free pappadams with three different dips, all delicious. There was so much of it we couldn't eat it all, I had the leftovers cold for lunch today! That was the second time I had the fish (sea bass fillets) because it was so yummy,  last time Nyge had the Dal spinach curry. They have lots of other things, including vegan, lamb and chicken, but neither of us usually eat meat. It says on the back of the flyer that they can make adjustments according to your preferences. And again, it was all delivered really quickly. I'm usually highly critical, as you may have noticed! But this place deserves glowing reviews! Just order something, I'd be very surprised if you were disappointed (assuming you like South Indian food, which this is, despite the lamb and chicken  options). But by all means invite yourself round for a meal 😜
