do any charity shops pick up clothes?

I have 3 sacks of womens and kids clothes and shoes that I want to donate to a charity shop, its all in good nik but as I dont have a car I and its very heavy I wondered if any charity shop does pick ups?

I get a bag through the door at least once a week saying they are collecting clothes for charity and will pick up in a few days time. Don'y like using them though as the clothes are sold for profit.

TRAID came to me and collected about 4 bin bags - do a search for them on here, that's where I found them

Another vote for Traid here too- they have done about 4 pickups for me and I have another one scheduled tonight. They come to our area on Tuesdays but you need to book ahead.

They take books, VHS, clothes, blankets, shoes and bric brac, crockery, glasses.

Anything really except for furniture and duvets and pillows.

Scope in Peckham have a man who picks up locally on Tuesdays I think.Have donated to them a couple of times.Just give the shop a call and they can give you his phone number.

also be careful with the bags through the door as I have seen people rummaging through them and also taking them who are not from charities

I have just used these https://www.clothesforcharity.org.uk/ to pick up clothes for charity as I do not have a car and had a huge amount of clothes that i wanted to donate.

It is fast, efficient and works a treat. And you get to choose your own charity that you wish to help.

Worth taking a look.
