Another vote for Traid here too- they have done about 4 pickups for me and I have another one scheduled tonight. They come to our area on Tuesdays but you need to book ahead.

They take books, VHS, clothes, blankets, shoes and bric brac, crockery, glasses.


Anything really except for furniture and duvets and pillows.

I have just used these https://www.clothesforcharity.org.uk/ to pick up clothes for charity as I do not have a car and had a huge amount of clothes that i wanted to donate.


It is fast, efficient and works a treat. And you get to choose your own charity that you wish to help.


Worth taking a look.

    • Wow!  Is this the remnants of a wood pigeon?  We occasionally see the feathers following a kill but only once have I seen the hawk in the garden and certainly not like your experience.
