As ever, throwing myself on the mercy of collective expertise.

I have taken tomorrow off work, and my toddler out of nursery, in order to get him immunised against chicken pox. I thought I timed it brilliantly: jab was going to be followed with his first visit to the cinema at Greenwich picture house Toddler Time followed by a nice lunch out somewhere round there. But - typically - there is no listing for TT this Monday, so it doesn't seem to be happening. Grrr.

Anyone have any ideas for a suitable substitute? I don't want to take him to a playgroup/soft play really (as then he might as well be in nursery) but I have to say I'm failing miserably at identifying something else...And I'm disappointed that I won't be munching on popcorn at 11am tomorrow morning when I'm meant to be at work....he he.

The weather's not looking too good either...

    • The current crimes from what I hear are phone theft from the person, car theft and tradesman vehicle/tools theft. Plus of course the overall increase in stabbings and shootings across London which are becoming normalised.
    • Whilst clearly 'a crime', I don't think this necessarily sits with the other things you have described. A tragic and awful incident certainly, and dreadfully traumatic to the victim, but not part of any 'crime wave' as such, I suspect. It's the sort of thing which, sadly, can happen anywhere (I, again, suspect).
    • Does anybody have a folding pasting table they no longer need? All the ones I've found online seem to have terrible reviews, mainly due to being unstable,  or else coming apart! I don't mind if it's grubby, I just want it to gesso wallpaper lining paper, for art not walls!
    • Massive thank you to Stephen. Painted our whole house - and got lots of other bits sorted, too. Nothing was too much trouble, everything looks great and all came in on quote. Fantastic. Liverpool fan, but don’t hold that against him. Will 100% use again.
