experiences after having copper coil removed

Hello all,

Forgive me - it's been a while since I posted but I wondered if I might be able to pick your brains and just get a few views (bit of reassurance!) from those who have had experience of the copper coil.

Did anyone who has had it removed find that their first period afterwards was very late? Can anybody tell me if their periods took a bit of time to settle again - despite the fact that most Doctors say they shouldn't be affected and that things should generally go back to normal straight away.

I have had mine removed only very recently so no big panic at the mo but I am experiencing an unusual cycle and thought maybe some thoughts from others who have been in the same boat would really help!
