My daughter is currently between nurseries at the moment, she goes to magic moments a few days a week (which is great and recommended curtsey of the forum) but she needs more. Basically I want to do a few things with her playgroup, dancing etc, but I am not sure where to start. I have looked at EDtots but if anyone could recommend a few that would be great, she is 2 1/2.

Little Oaks playgroup on a Wed morning is great for that age, I take my 2.75 year old every week. It's at the Honor Oak Baptist Church on Forest Hill Road, 9:45 - 11:45. ?2, includes juice and biscuits for the kids and a cup of tea for adults (and a biscuit too!). A really nice group of people, a really well run group.

I'm glad she's enjoying Magic Moments - my daughter is there Tuesday and Friday mornings :)

    • Shame, that's a bit boring. At least the Poundland fulfilled the need of cheap basic toiletries.
    • Andy Burke Plumber  December 2025 Andy was recommended and I'm so glad he was! I generally don't like inviting strangers into my home for any reason really but when you have a repair you have no choice. Andy is a kind, very pleasant  decent guy. But most of all he's, trustworthy, very knowledgeable and extremely conscientious about his work! He wants to solve the problem for you and keep the customer happy. He was very kind to work around my schedule to sort my repairs. I live alone and I'm very comfortable in his company. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him. He's what you want in a tradesman. Someone who's decentand really talented. I'm so glad I crossed paths with him. Andy goes the extra mile to resolve your issue. Don't think twice, just book him!! 07983 688451
    • I walked by Honest Burger around lunchtime today and they had just opened. They haven’t publicly promoted the opening yet because they were focusing on the building work, but the guy I spoke to was really friendly.  They’re giving away free lemonade as an opening promotion and mentioned that residents should download their app because they can get a free meal after buying a certain number of meals.  Sounds like they also do takeaway as well. I told him that Honest had been trending on the EDF, so I would post about today’s opening.
