Problem Roofer.

Hi All,

After much faffing about getting quotes I eventually setteled on one roofing comany to tackle a roof leak we have and some remedial work.

Two weeks today the scaffolding went up and since then they have been on site a total of one day (We'll be back tomorrow and monday to finish it" and a couple of 2-3 hour segments. In that time there have been 9 dry days, so it is not a weather issue.

I keep calling the guy but he never replies, though one call did prompt one of the 2-3 hours work periods.

I'm half tempted to tell him I want to get soepmone else in to finish it, though finding someone was difficult, as I say.

Suggestions as to what I can do anyone?

    • Hey everyone, Just a quick heads up for those who might not be aware: there's a new law in England that took effect in April. Essentially, if you're involved in any building or planning projects, you now need to meet certain biodiversity quotas.  I stumbled upon this handy assessment tool that can determine whether you're exempt or need to meet the requirements. Hopefully, it eases your worries too! Check it out here: https://www.joesblooms.com/bng-tool

    • This Italian restaurant at the Southbound Goose Green bus stop on Lordship Lane is excellent but doesn't seem to get much custom, especially at lunchtimes - a sad indictment of East Dulwich society.  If it were in Camberwell/Peckham (where I used to live) it would be rammed. If we don't want Lordship Lane full of chains, then good quality independent family places need custom.
