I am looking purchasing an XC60 and it has an electronic handbreak.

I don't have an issue with this but am wondering how any XC60 drivers find it? I am particularly interested in the fact that it automatically turns off when you push the accelerater is applied, how does this work on a steep hill?

Any advise would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

I haven't driven an XC60 but I often use a Golf which has a similar automatic handbrake and I have to say it works brilliantly, including on steep hills - you just have to learn to trust it. I am not a fan of a lot of new gadgetry in modern cars but I would have to say that this is something that I would be pleased to have in any car I owned.

He’s been with us this week fixing an upstairs heating issue, and it reminded me it was about time I shared a recommendation here. From smaller jobs (like thermostat replacements) to more complex problems - he's consistently great: clear, direct, highly knowledgable, responsive, and fairly priced. Highly recommended.
