Hello East Dulwich Forum,

We are a small team of female painters and decorators called Paint Girls available in south east London and based in East Dulwich / Camberwell.

We all have a background in Fine Art and are practicing artists who have also been painting and decorating professionally for the past 4 years. We are sensitive to our clients personal space and always aim to be as discrete and efficient as possible.

Please get in touch for any of your interior decorating needs. Call Simone on 07842188221 or email [email protected] to arrange a quote.

We contacted the 'Paint Girls' in the summer when we first moved in to our new home and intially wanted some painting done - I'd seen a flyer somewhere advertising their services. They were quick to respond to our enquiry and immediatley understood what we wanted and so we left them painting the house a few weeks later while we were away on holiday. We were delighted when we returned to see the results which were excellent and have since had them back to paint a further few rooms of our home. I'd therefore like to recommend the Paint Girls painting services - we found them easy to communicate with and felt they did a great job, for a reasonable price and would definitely get them back again next time we want more rooms painted!

I can highly recommend paint girls. Thea and Simone repainted our sitting room, kitchen and bathroom and did a wonderful job in good time. I work from home and I always dread the disturbance of having interior work done, but this time it was reassuring have someone trust worthy and enjoyable around the house. We had several quotes and theirs was the most cost-worthy for the quality of work they provided. We will definitely have them back for stage 2!

Completely agree with the above posts. Thea and Simone stripped wallpaper, repainted and wallpapered 4 rooms with minimal mess, did a fantastic job and were a pleasure to work with. Highly recommend and will definitely be using again for exterior woodwork.

We recently had our hallway, stairwell and kitchen redone. Thea and Simone were fantastic. The extensive work on our house over the past year has meant we have been living in a building site for what feels like forever. We can finally call our house a home again.

They are all practicing artists with what seem to be busy schedules so I can imagine how the above post may have occurred. However, we found them to be great company and they finished the work to an excellent standard.

    • Because the council responsible for it is far-left....   And you haven't answered whether it is worth diverting emergency vehicles because a few cars drive through the LTN and why some lobby groups have been so desperate to close it to emergency vehicles.    Emergency services hate non-permeable junctions as they lengthen response times....f you remember it's why the council had to redesign the DV junction because emergency services kept telling them they needed to be able to drive through it...but the council resisted and resisted until they finally relented because the emergency services said their LTN had increased response times....sorry if the truth gets in the way of a good story but those are facts. The council was putting lives at risk because they refused to open the junction to emergency services. Why? What could have been the motivation for that? So, in fact, it was the emergency services who forced the council (kicking and screaming) to remove the permanent barriers and allow emergency services access. So the council finally opened the junction to emergency services and is now coming back to re-close part of the junction.  Why?  Perhaps you should be asking who is lobbying the council to close the junction or parts of it or why the council is happy to waste so much of our money on it - who are they representing as even their own consultation demonstrated they did not have support from the local community for the measures? The results showed the majority of local residents were against the measure...but they are going ahead with them anyway.   In time, I am sure the truth will come to light and those rewponsbile will be held accountable but you have to admit there is something very unusual going on with that junction - its the very definition of a (very expensive) white elephant.
