Southwark Council intend to register private landlords who rent out some Lordship Lane properties

Recommended Posts

So long as it's not used as a cash cow and actually achieves something. Just a database would be fairly pointless.

Also, it seems strangely limited by your description. Why only those landlords/that area?

I live on lordship lane opposite the police station. I just did the check your address thing on the website and our flat isn't in the zone. So it's not all of lordship lane. I've never had any problems.

I have just done this out of interest and a range of house numbers in my street pop up. So does this mean these houses are identified as rented accommodation? seems a bit off to publish the details of where people actually are living and effectively their personal details.

Intrigued as to how this is going to work. The web page doesn't give enough info about the aims.

Here's the map of the "Lordship Lane (north)" designated area approved by Southwark Council on 21 July 2015.

If you are a landlord or tenant in this designated area it affects you.

Maps of other designated areas are on the Southwark Council web-site.

    • Hello! We are relocating abroad and so will be withdrawing our two children (ages 4 and 6) from St Dunstan’s College (Catford). If any family is considering enrolling children of a similar age, now would be an excellent opportunity—we’re required to pay full‑term fees unless the places are taken. Please get in touch if you’re interested or know someone who might be. Thank you!
    • Hi  I really thought I'd seen a more recent post on the forum about home education meet ups. I can't find it though. • Hi, I saw your post and just wanted to say that the incident you’re referring to did happen in the late 1980s at Dawson’s Heights. The person involved was named Carl Salawa, and he had just turned 18 years old at the time. Like you, I haven’t been able to find any news articles or official reports about it, If anyone remembers anything more about that time or incident, I’d really appreciate hearing about it. Thanks for sharing what you were told—it means a lot to know others remember.
