TTNutrition
Hello - Wondering whether anyone has any info or knowledge on renting a field or space to hold a marquee/tipi wedding in South London/Surrey (East Dulwich or surrounding area would be a dream but I know highly unlikely!)We're after somewhere that we can basically do what we want - i.e bring in external caterers and other suppliers. Have one lined up further out in Surrey but thought i'd see if anyone had any good local knowledge so we could keep things a bit closer to home (not that Surrey is the end of the universe!)Thanks all. savage
Hi, have you tried the fort camp site up at Dulwich woods. It's awesome and might be what you are looking for.http://www.slsc-thefort.org.uk Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/52383-field-for-marquee-wedding/#findComment-805905 Share on other sites
KidKruger
would 4 acres on south coast be too far away ? Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/52383-field-for-marquee-wedding/#findComment-805918 Share on other sites
Bluelagoon
Check out this blog - they have a directory of spaces where you can hold a wedding just like that http://festivalbrides.co.uk/venuesland-hireI've also photographed weddings at this venue http://www.wiseweddingvenue.co.uk, it's in Kent so not super local but I guess it is going out this side of London.I also came across this place in one of those Cool Camping books - they are in Epping http://debdenhouse.com/campsite-epping-forest.html but have no idea if they'd be able to facilitate you but they do do functions etc. Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/52383-field-for-marquee-wedding/#findComment-805928 Share on other sites
Otta
I think Dulwich College allow this sort of thing on their grounds. Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/52383-field-for-marquee-wedding/#findComment-805939 Share on other sites

No idea if they'd go for it, but they certainly have the space. louise.flynn
I think Dulwich Picture Gallery also have a field that they rent out - might be worth giving them a call! simonethebeaver
St Faith's have a large garden that they allow marquees on, and a lovely hall too. Own caterers etc. We got married there with a marquee and it was really not expensive to hire. (The hall, not the marquee.)
