Recommended Interior Designer

Interior design's not my strong suit. So, after living with bare bulbs and magnolia paint on the walls for far too long, we finally had a few designers out to have a look and decided to employ Evey at Hands On Design.

She's great. From my first meeting with Evey, she offered insights and good value. She picked up on what to do based on a limited debrief and photos of other interiors I like and then prescribed a scheme which suited our space and limited budget. She then saw it all through to the end. Highly recommend Evey at Hands On Design (handsoninteriors.co.uk) to anyone who's in need of help getting interiors projects underway.

    • @NewWave I know how you feel. Like you, I've lived and spent prolonged periods of time in some pretty crazy places and always thought I could handle a bunch of kids. But, no - they got to me and I was shaking like a leaf afterwards. That's what age does to us.  But I did engage with them, so bear that in mind.  My advice would be to never let anything like that stop you doing the things you love. I'm certainly not going to stop using the park, there's no way they get to take away our cherished spaces!  If you see them, just change tack and keep out of their way. My dog won't even go that way again, so that's that problem solved. (If I see them again, I'm going to keep taking photos from a safe distance).
    • Truly horrific. Being passive or fighting back is what many of us think about by violent theft.
    • What ridiculous waste of money
    • Lots of good primary schools within reach of there. Fairlawn, Goodrich, Ivydale and Horiman. Secondary schools you will definitely get into the Harris Academies or Sydenham Girls or Forest Hill Boys, you might just be on the boundary for the East Dulwich or North Dulwich Charter but it changes every year.
