We have a 6 year old and 3.5 year old and are keen for ideas of how to ski economically with them. Started back skiing last December and had a great time. Oldest started lessons and loved them, youngest was in petit club. We went with Club Med who took care of all of the logistics. We loved it but we can't afford them on a regular basis so are looking how we can still ski at a reasonable cost.

Any tips from fellow forumites? My daughter will be 4 in June so just about ready for lessons.

With a group of friends the year before last - fantastically well set up for kids, high altitude so the snow lasts until late in the season - we went in April and it wasn't cripplingly expensive, the all inclusive food package was worth it. Nice rooms, family friendly food for children, great pool and I enjoyed the end of day yoga classes. Kids lessons at the hotel itself, you have to drive or get a bus to the main skifield but not far and no hassle. Ski hire at the hotel. Generally cheaper to fly to Munich rather than Innsbruck .

We've just booked an April trip with Ski Norway - kids are 4 and 6 and it will be our first ski trip with them. Not skied Norway before (they have recommended Trysil) but it all looks fab and although I haven't directly compared costs DH reckons it will be substantially cheaper than the Alps....

I have used his services on several occasions now and I am always impressed by 1) the speed of his response,  2) his honest pricing,  3) the quality of his interventions.  I had a washing machine crisis the other day where my old appliance started leaking badly and into the flat below.  Aria can within an hour of my call and sorted the whole thing immediately.  Impressive! Highly recommended!    Posted Thursday at 17:56 a. • Capita (always spelt in Private Eye as Crapita) has a record of failure in its management of public contracts that goes back decades. Yet they continue to get more government business and have our money lavished on them. Private profit trumps public service every time.
    • Perhaps the robbers pulled over for a Magnum? A 25-year old Ferrari is probably worth a lot less than many newer cars on the streets locally (£40k-ish, I’m guessing?). I notice the tax is up in a fortnight.
