Not a problem. :)

Unforgivable husband returning home without a Chattering Classes verified cheese on toast...!

But otherwise, top form! Ever since the forum started, I think this is the only ever crime related thread where the criminals have actually been caught.

Saw our lovely local bobby and a WPC visiting the local shops and were in the Co-Op late this afternoon, possibly related?

We need a local Police Station again.

We had one before http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/uknews/1351584/Detective-gang-sold-drugs-seized-in-raids.html

Wow, well done to your mother in law and husband! What utter scumbags.

My granny (not in London) scared off a would be attacker in a public toilets once. She was really happy until she was described as an 'elderly lady' in the local newspaper!

I started one about 4 or 5 years ago when the police arrested someone trying to break into my flat - I called 999 and they caught him. Admittedly turned out he was so drunk that he was having trouble trying to climb out of the front garden, but still they did catch him. Was quite sad actually as I went to court and it turned out he was homeless and couldn't remember why he was trying to get in.

LAST POST I promise.

Culprit with stolen cards on him was also illegally in this country so is being investigated by customs with a view to be deported.

Other two released as no evidence on them etc.

Hopefully they've fled and won't be back but still continue to be vigilant. They were targeting lone women at cash points on a day/ time the banks were closed. It was outside HSBC and they were coosing their targets from Dulwich cafe opposite.

An illegal immigrant would be investigated by immigration, not customs. What does the banks being closed have to do with anything? I saw someone get robbed at a cash point outside HSBC around 11 am one weekday morning. The guy used a screwdriver to stab her in the ribs.

Oh mustard that's obviously what I mean!

Referring to a previous post, if someone is distracted by this technique, they may believe card has been swallowed. If the bank is shut, it buys the criminal time to use the card before it is reported.

HSBC doesn't have an ATM inside, does Barclays? It didn't when I banked there.

If my card was swallowed, or stolen, I just phone my bank, they are open 24/7.

    • Legal matters are notoriously slow.  There is no rule that communication has to be via email, fax or letter. If the issue is that you want to claim damages to the property because of poor practice, you would have to lodge a complaint with the ombudsman, but surely the one to suffer the most is the “gold digger” beneficiary?    If that is not the wrong that needs righting, what is?

We gave Kalms to the mutt, thanks to Angelina's advice. It's hard to tell after just one night if they work, but I'll definitely try them again, as I'm sure a few people still have a few bangers left over.  Did anyone see the coverage of the scenes in Liverpool and Birmingham? I wonder if this might lead councils to finally clamp down on sales.
