Fancy dress shop

Hello,

Just wondered if anyone had a recommendation for a local shop/business offering fancy dress bits? Got a 1920s party but want to get bits rather than a whole outfit. I used prangsta in new cross for a similar theme a couple of years ago- they were great but the whole outfit cost ?120 to hire and I've got my husband to take along this time. We were thinking more somewhere that does appropriate accessories (real or reproduction) rather than going all out.

If anyone has any local suggestions, would be much appreciated.

I think there is an accessorise shop in the Glades at Bromley. Sorry cannot remember the name. It was there in November

last time I went to the Glades. Reasonably priced too!! Fancy dress shop in Lee High Road just passed Lewisham called Harlequins phone no.0208 582 0193 . Hope this helps. They do a lot of accessories as well as hiring out outfits.

    • Hello! We are relocating abroad and so will be withdrawing our two children (ages 4 and 6) from St Dunstan’s College (Catford). If any family is considering enrolling children of a similar age, now would be an excellent opportunity—we’re required to pay full‑term fees unless the places are taken. Please get in touch if you’re interested or know someone who might be. Thank you!

    • Hi, I saw your post and just wanted to say that the incident you’re referring to did happen in the late 1980s at Dawson’s Heights. The person involved was named Carl Salawa, and he had just turned 18 years old at the time. Like you, I haven’t been able to find any news articles or official reports about it, If anyone remembers anything more about that time or incident, I’d really appreciate hearing about it. Thanks for sharing what you were told—it means a lot to know others remember.
