Save our singing group. I attend an amazing singing group but it is under threat as their aren't enough of us, its for adults, both men and women. Starting back tonight Wednesday 14th January adult singing group. In North Dulwich. Come and learn amazing songs from classics like Handle Messiahs Jerusalem to numerous musicals numbers, Fleetwood Mac tunes and many many more.

Helps if you can read music or have a good ear but not essential. Taught by amazing musical directors. Starts tonight 8pm at James Allen's Girls school in the JAPS hall access via JAGS car park. First class free trial subsequent class ?10 per session (price may drop if more people come) and will be then be held on Wednesday 21st January in the meeting room at St Faiths Community Centre, Red Post Hill SE24 9JQ. Leave all your troubles and stresses behind for an hour and a half of pure lovelyness and concentration. For more info contact: [email protected] or 0208 850 0516

I have been attending this for just over a year and really enjoy it, it would be such a shame for it to stop as no one seems to know about it. It's not like an ordinary choir, it takes all your concentration and energy to be taught new techniques to learn how to use your voice. It takes you away from the mundane of family life and give you an hour and a half of just you. Please come, the five of us who are still holding on are a friendly bunch and we have a laugh but we've been told if we don't get more people the class will close and that will make us all very sad.

Thank you for reading this.

Xenia.

    • Don't forget South end of Underhill Road.  Good sized houses with good sized gardens and short walk to Dulwich park, Dulwich Woods, Horniman and Peckham Rye.  Transport access in five different directions which is super useful and the little P13 gets you to Lordship Lane shops in no time. Easy parking.  IMO a little part of Dulwich underappreciated by some living right near East Dulwich shops but much liked by those that find their way to this quiet corner of Dulwich. Good luck to you
    • SO many different threads for Niko!    This one seems to have the most posts so here is another one... Niko is awesome, super-helpful, decent, easily available and the best plumber bar none. Thanks again Niko!
    • Eh, what are you on about Mal? I thought we were talking about penalties for road users. I am not au fait with traffic penalties in Rwanda, are you? Mind you, with the amount of overseas travel you have flagged up as having done over the years perhaps you do? Either way, seems a bit off piste, even for you.
    • Hi All Following incredible assistance from The Dulwich Society, a visit to the Southwark Archives and lots local insight from this forum, social media and visitors to ed we have created a visual history of ed's home, 41 North Cross Road. We think it looks great, you can see it on our Instagram and Facebook pages: https://www.instagram.com/p/C6UJsC3MDsS/ https://www.facebook.com/photo?fbid=947290310732033&set=pcb.947290447398686 There is a much less pretty but more detailed version for anyone interested. Many thanks for all your help. Dan
