Save our singing group. I attend an amazing singing group but it is under threat as their aren't enough of us, its for adults, both men and women. Starting back tonight Wednesday 14th January adult singing group. In North Dulwich. Come and learn amazing songs from classics like Handle Messiahs Jerusalem to numerous musicals numbers, Fleetwood Mac tunes and many many more.

Helps if you can read music or have a good ear but not essential. Taught by amazing musical directors. Starts tonight 8pm at James Allen's Girls school in the JAPS hall access via JAGS car park. First class free trial subsequent class ?10 per session (price may drop if more people come) and will be then be held on Wednesday 21st January in the meeting room at St Faiths Community Centre, Red Post Hill SE24 9JQ. Leave all your troubles and stresses behind for an hour and a half of pure lovelyness and concentration. For more info contact: [email protected] or 0208 850 0516

I have been attending this for just over a year and really enjoy it, it would be such a shame for it to stop as no one seems to know about it. It's not like an ordinary choir, it takes all your concentration and energy to be taught new techniques to learn how to use your voice. It takes you away from the mundane of family life and give you an hour and a half of just you. Please come, the five of us who are still holding on are a friendly bunch and we have a laugh but we've been told if we don't get more people the class will close and that will make us all very sad.

Thank you for reading this.

Xenia.

    • Perhaps the OP needs to make the title more specific, to avoid the serious issue in question being taken over by other stuff unconnected with it?
    • Assuming from the title this is a general discussion on the park.  Always liked it. Great for cycling including London recumbents.  Kids played there when younger.  Never been fond of cafe, others may disagree.
    • Lost my engagement ring between 13.15 and 13.30 today - I went between Dulwich Leisure Centre and Therapia Road - also stopped off at the Coop on Forest Hill Road - it was in my gym shorts pocket and I think it fell out when I took my keys out of my pocket outside the Leisure Centre or Co-op. Please let me know if you find it!   Please see below for image of the ring:
    • Can I politely request that people with dogs follow the leash laws in Dulwich Park and keep their dogs on a lead in the required areas. Before anyone calls me a Karen, dogs have the entire perimeter of the park to be off the lead, there’s just small areas that require them to be on a short lead. My puppy has now been attacked and bitten twice by off lead dogs in these areas in the space of 4 days. I walk him in those areas specifically to avoid dogs that will run up while I’m trying to train with him, but it’s happening anyway because people can’t follow simple rules.
