Morley College does them sometimes, it was a very pleasant and enjoyable course in my experience.

I've done all their courses (Literary Kitchen) and now doing novel in a year. Its very good to get you motivated and started. They run events and readings throughout the year too which are fun and down to earth. Usually they take place at the Peckham pelican. I've met a couple of the other writers which are now doing 1-1 mentoring or novel in a year with Andrea the director and they only have positive things to say! :) Hope that helps

If you are retired you might find the University of the Third Age, Dulwich Branch writing group would be of interest:

They meet in Forest Hill and my mother speaks very highly of the teacher and the course.
