Today is International Day of Zero Tolerance for FGM.

A small group of my friends have grouped together to set up an initiative to try and help. The world respected charity Desert Flower Foundation, started by Somalian model and FGM survivor is working towards setting up the UK's first support center dedicated to helping victims of Female Genital Mutilation in London. To kickstart the funding of this, they've started Donate the Dress - where women (and men!) can auction off their wedding dress, veil, shoes, accessories, or even suits and services to help put a stop to FGM.

How you can help...

To donate your dress is simple, just photograph your clean dress, upload the pictures (and some from your own wedding) and a description to eBay for Charity, using the instructions on their website, and choose Desert Flower Foundation as your donation point. To check out all the dresses, accessories, suits and services you can buy - and donate with - head to Donate the Dress for more details.

    • Thank you! She is both spayed and microchipped, and reported missing on Petlog and with the vets.   She normally never goes out the front, certainly for never more than 10-15 minutes, so this is definitely new territory for her. There is lots of dense foliage across the road so there are plenty of places she could be hiding if she is spooked, so we are hoping she will come back when she is calm. The weather isn't helping, she never goes out in the rain. Thank you again!
    • Hi, Have you been letting her out the front door onto the street or would this be a first & therefore unfamiliar with the area? Does she respond to a name & is she spayed & microchipped? Our team carry scanners on our daily routes & will of course be looking our for her. I hope you are reunited with her soon. If not already, notify your street & surrounding streets (find out if they have Whatsapp groups) Dox will print & deliver free missing posters https://www.doxdirect.com/help/free-missing-pet-posters/ Call her at dusk & dawn when street & foot traffic is at its lowest. • A slightly delayed review but another one to echo Niko's praises. I had an issue with a cistern that needed replacing and Niko was attentive and did a great job. He was very diligent, explained what he was doing and fixed issues from a previous plumber's work. I will definitely ask for his help again if I have any issues in the future.
    • In good condition.  The seal should be intact.  Thanks
