Just drove down Rye Dale and saw a black Honda CBR on its side outside the Forest Hill Road end.

Knocked on the door closest and a nice man said the bike had been there a while and he saw a car knock into the bike, knock it over, and the car sped off before he could get the registration number (of the car).

I have a note of the reg no of the bike.

Any of you know anything about this bike? I'll let the local police know when I can find the right number for them...

Last Monday I was riding in the bus lane up Walworth Road towards E%C and a fiesta van driven by a contract cleaner who barely spoke a word of English who was coming towards me from E&C turned right into a side road on my left, straight infront of me right across my path. My BEAUTIFUL CBR600 F has since been written off as I hit his near side front wheel and flew over the bonnet landing 10m away leaving her on the other side of the bonnet.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE be careful out there guys. It is not us riding recklessly. It was wet and there was drizzle and I was conciously riding defensively.

At least I was able to walk away.

    • I don't think I've ever seen it used other than for gluing advertising on it. It's definitely not a priority but these things typically get ignored and become part of the furniture (so to speak).  There is a beautiful old red box near Upland Rd. I miss old red boxes... 😞 Anyway I'll have a dig around and see if anything can be done.
    • £30-40 for M&S Christmas food for two seems very low! And only £60 for food and drink for 8-10 people?  We have had M&S food at Christmas in the past, and it came to a lot more than that. I suppose it depends exactly what you are buying. We left it late to book a Christmas Day meal out last year, so there weren't many options left.  The Cherry Tree menu looked very nice. That was our first mistake. We also overlooked the fact that it was a Young's pub, with all that implies about the food. That was our second mistake. We don't have shedloads of money. We  took the view that we deserved a nice meal  out after working bloody hard all year. So it was doubly disappointing to basically waste a lot of money which could have been very much better  spent elsewhere.
    • No sweetheart. It is a fantastic sermon which should be shared. It is a rights-based sermon which received a standing ovation - if you can be bothered to get to the end.
    • Welcome back. What have voting intentions got to do with this thread? And much as you may hate the present incarnation of so-called Labour, as do I,  I don't think it is true that they have "not done a single positive thing for working class people", is it? And how exactly are you defining "working class people", anyway?
