In 2014 we created some fantastic public events in the boutique and have really enjoyed a great time with you the customer. Now for 2015, by popular demand, we are rolling out this "Boutique Bash" as a tailored service for you the customer.

Party Time for the Adults: The most recent Boutique Bash that we hosted was a 50th birthday celebration, where guests brought with them a bottle and dish. Our resident DJ Martin Wooster was on the decks providing vintage tunes crossing over the funk, soul, Jazz and Popcorn genres, mostly of the 1945 era.

A word from the DJ

I have been dj?ing ever since my early twenties- I ran my own club, ?The Sidewinder? at the New Cross Tavern, I was the house dj for a number of years at ?Up the Creek?, Greenwich in my 20?s/30?s. I have collected records all my adult life and have put together a serious collection of rare funk, soul, jazz, rhythm and Blues, and disco for black music connoisseurs and dance junkies alike. Available for private parties - I enjoy both aspects of dj?ing, playing music to set the mood and get people?s feet tapping as necessary at the beginning of a party and the full on dancing where one record is never enough, it needs another as if putting on another log to keep the fire burning!

All the music I play is vinyl, almost all the records I play at a party are 45?s (singles) and I have my own equipment, decks and speakers if need be.

Martin is also available for hire at your own venue, feel free to drop him a line here [email protected]

If you like Martin Wooster then keep an eye out during the summer season, we will let you know when he's next playing a local public gig.
