Scouting for film location in houses with building works

Has anyone had a man come to the door saying he is scouting for locations for a Walkers Crisps ad and he stopped because he noticed the skip outside and he wondered if you had a kitchen extension going on and he could come in and take photos? This just happened to me and half way through the conversation it suddenly seemed a bit wonky. Maybe I need to take a breath and lay off the espresso but he didn't give a name or a card (but I also forgot to ask). I might be being bonkers...
