It's a long road - perhaps 2/3 of a mile - but hardly busy, unless you are there when the school starts and finishes. It is particularly quiet from Friern Road up to Donkey Alley. Interestingly (well, to me) it's a good 1 or 2C colder in the winter mornings than at, say, E Dulwich station, probably because it's on a hill. At night near to the school it is often almost silent (until the planes come gliding in at 0415, but that's another story and one that doesn't bother me much).

I owned a house the lordship Lane end, on the stretch before the Castle.

Always very happy there, no problems at all with noise and generally easy to park - except on a Sunday evening randomly. Neighbours were all very friendly, and only a 15 min walk to the station / couple of minutes to all bus routes. Would recommend.

    • ..........................  suspend visas from countries that do not "play ball" on returning over-stayers and illegal migrants. why "could" . Why not do it now? Getting it done now would  undermine Reform's position and give Labour a "win" - even though the Tories had signalled they were going to do this before they got turfed out.
    • Second time that Leon has come to the rescue . He was here within 2 hours -- ok he was working locally but he didn't have to fit me in .Shows what he's like ,he'll try and get to you asap .And he carries a number of commonly used parts and doesn't have to go off and get them . (You might think that this isn't deserving of comment ,but believe me it is ! ) Great guy ,100% recommend .
    • Hi all,   Does anyone have a two or three person tent they no longer want or need? As compact as possible would be ideal in order to carry in a bag/on a bike. Many thanks Joe
    • Today between approximately 3:30 and 4:00 PM, someone entered the back door of an estate agency and stole items from the kitchen, including a microwave and kettle. The individual then proceeded to trash the kitchen before leaving. This happened near Shawbury/Lordship Lane. If anyone saw a man carrying these items or acting suspiciously in the area around that time, please report it to the authorities and let me know. if anyone has access to cameras located near the area, your help would be appreciated.  Let’s help keep our community safe.
