  1. On average each year from 2009-13: - Cycles accounted for about 2% of all urban, non-motorway vehicular traffic and were involved in 0.82% of pedestrian fatalities and 1.6% of serious injuries to pedestrians. - Mile-for-mile in urban areas, motor vehicles were about 1.2 times more likely than a cycle to seriously injure a pedestrian, and almost 2.5 times as likely to kill them. Taken from CTC Jan 2015.
  2. Motor vehicle and cycle involvement in pedestrian fatal and serious injuries, annual average 2009-13 in URBAN areas (excluding motorways: % of pedestrians killed By Car 99.2 By Idiot cyclist 0.82 Evil naughty cyclist, ban them all i say!
  3. In an attempt to answer the OP from a 'beekeepers' perspective: Very cheap honey as has already been mentioned is usually produced through feeding bees a diluted sugar syrup for them to convert into honey. This process is extremely quick but as you can imagine pretty tastless when it is compared to honey that the bees have produced without assistance. In fact i would not really consider this as proper honey, albeit for the pedants it has come from a bee :) You then come across oilseed rape farmed honey where it flows in abundance early in the year but flavour is somewhat lacking again due to the source. but can be farmed in large volume so price is driven down. Local honey or urban honey tends to be very full flavoured due to the abundance & variety of plants available to the bees and due to the inabilty to farm this on a large scale however it is also produced in very small qty's thus a premium is put on it. That's all...
  4. ^ So much information to go on there, you should find lots of blue scooters before the end of the day..... jeez

On a daily basis there are usually 5 or so police cars left unattended with engines ticking over outside Lambeth Police station. I just don't understand why they are left like this...
  7. It's not DFs parking space to loose

  10. and your dog licks the pavement.... a new one on me!
  11. I would rather one of these outside my house than a dirty builders van...
  12. As far as i'm aware, the Evening Std is owned by same groups as Daily Mail (assoc. press)... which of course explains its right wing leanings

  14. Islabikes for all my kids. They're specifically designed for kids and keep their value once child has outgrown. Lightweight aluminium frames. PS Just as a point of difference, I don't believe the wooden ones have brakes.
  15. Peter Taylor: "Goodness we both know the last thing your > boss needs is hmrc or any other official body > snooping around the business" --------------------------------- .....got something to hide then?
  16. Flamethrower for the hard to reach bits ;)
  17. You're right i don't. But for sure i would do my best to chop down/clear/hide. That's all.
  18. Given that the OP has lived there for some time and has 'just discovered' then i would imagine it's hardly an imposing problem.
  19. It's not that big a deal to keep on top of - Chop, burn, weed kill, repeat... But it does drastically effect a potential sale!
  20. I'd jump over the fence and take that down too... It's just not worth the grief or potential loss on property sale/value!
  21. Dont mention it when selling your property. Some lenders have been known to turn down simply because of this. I would chop it down and burn it quick!!
