  1. Is there not a multi-story car park the opposite side of the road from the station....
  2. That depends entirely on the scope of works your builder requires from their architect. Architects can draw up simple plans and specifications or engage fully in project management. My advice would be to consult an independant architect and discuss your requirements with them and perhaps ask for a fee as comparison.
  3. Without knowing the specifics, you should expect to pay around ?500 upwards for structural engineer to provide calcs required. If you need planning then you will need an architect to produce drawings & lodge application, their fees min would be ?1500.
  4. ^ sums it up perfectly :) "the curtain twitiching tripe found on this forum."
  5. Sorry, it does sound like another one of those boring whinge posts.... you know the rules. Tough luck eh.
  6. Jid, that wouldn't make any difference at all. Those drives would still need space left to permit access.
  7. +1000 to hoonaloona's post. Deal with it and stop complaining.
  8. Just so i understand, we're looking for the following: 'A tall white van, probably a transit but it might have been a Mercedes. The driver was a tall black guy in a navy beanie and navy overalls' Very unique, Police should have no trouble tracking this down!
  9. "just as well there were no cyclists around"....?
  10. ^ isn't that the whole point. An emerging market, new opportunities
  11. I very much doubt you would be able to build without planning. There are so many factors which need to be taken into account. You would be well advised to engage an Architect if you have not already.
  12. I dont see this as a strange move at all. Area on the up, opportunity beckons. Crystal Palace was one of their most successful new offices last year. Good news!
  13. I have to say, i do find Balfie rates for repair extremely expensive. +1 for doing it yourself! most bike maintenance is pretty straight forward.
  14. Agree, seek an Architect rather than a builder for advice. You will also need them to help lodge applications wt planning/building control etc.

  16. This place is like the football terraces of the middle class.. Lovely work all.
  17. .......hilarious. Net Curtain.

  19. What a charming forum
  20. You shouldn't have any trouble finding beekeeper / apiaries locally. There are over 500 apiaries within a 2mile radius of SE1. Contact the LBKA (London bee keepers association) they'll help with you more specific request.

Just had to take issue here as I am aware of this said 'eyesore'. Slightly harsh words given rye lane is only round the corner, I wonder how many shopfronts there have full Ad Consent. That aside, there is a slight aroma of hypocrisy given that I get unsolicited advertisements from the lib dems through my letter box on a fairly regular basis Mr Barber... I guess you don't need permission to push your politics into my front room. Might is suggest all fly posters seek my permission in future before they become an unwarranted eyesore in my home. Sorry if I missed something.
